REVENGE OF THE FISH

It only
takes a few
details to change
everything.
The idea for the Shot for Shot series came from a particularly unhinged round table pitch session. The basic ideas was to see if we could remake famous film scenes - only changing the characters and locations - to give the script an entirely different meaning.
Several scenes from different films including Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, The Hateful Eight, and Casablanca were pitched and storyboarded with some absolutely wild ideas with the above scene from Star Wars Revenge of the Sith being the final pick to make it through production.
The shoot was an absolute blast to direct and produce with the biggest challenge being our choice to use cloud cover as diffusion to set the comically heavy tone for the piece and leading to several of our shoot days being cut short or cancelled due to rainfall or suddenly clear skies.
